PRODUCTION OF LITHIUM DOPED ALPHA-MANGANESE DIOXIDE

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce lithium doped a-manganese dioxide containing no cation such as potassium ion or ammonium ion having a bad influence on cell performances industrially and advantageously without requiring a large-scale apparatus and facilities. CONSTITUTION: An inorganic acid salt of manganese is reacted with at least one permanganate selected from lithium permanganate, sodium permanganate and magnesium permanganate under acidic conditions in which an inorganic acid is added to the reaction system so as to make >=4mol concentration to giveα-manganese dioxide and the proton of theα-manganese dioxide is subjected to ion exchange with lithium.
