MEDICINE VIAL HOLDING ASSEMBLY AND ITS ASSOCIATED TECHNIQUE

PURPOSE: To make it possible to efficiently and surely sterilize the outside surface of a medicine vial with electron beams without affecting the medicine in this vial. CONSTITUTION: A thin layer of a radiation resistant polypropylene resin is laminated on the outside surface of the vial 10 and the top surface of elastic plug 12. The peripheral edge in the aperture of a cap 14 is bent and is airtightly press bonded to the top surface of the plug 12. An elastic annular plate 20 adhered to the annular bottom 18a of the cylindrical part 18 of a holder 16 is airtightly press bonded to the top surface of the cap 14. The outer peripheral part of the cap 14 is held on the inner side of the small-diameter part 18b of the cylindrical part 18. An inner annular gasket 22 mounted at the inner peripheral part of the large-diameter part 18d of the cylindrical part 18 is airtightly press bonded to the outer peripheral surface of the barrel part of the vial 10. A medicine vial holding assembly 32 is irradiated with electron beams from both sides in its axial line direction.
