PURPOSE: To obtain an immunosuppressive medicine exhibiting excellent effects comprising capable of administering an immunosuppression-inducing protein into a mammalian to inhibit the production of an antibody against an antigen or a transplanted tissue or induce an immunological tolerance, thereby not necessitating the administration of the medicine for a long period wherein the administration for the long period is a conventional defective point, and eliminating the anxiety of a side effect. CONSTITUTION: This immunosuppressive medicine contains as an active ingredient an immunosuppression-inducing protein obtained from the intraperitoneal exudate and/or the spleen of a mammalian into which a cysteine protease is administered. An immunosuppressive medicine contains as an active ingredient an immunosuppression-inducing protein that is resistant against an antigen and that is obtained the spleen of the mammalian into which the cysteine and the antigen are administered. And an immunosuppressive medicine contains as an active ingredient an immunosuppression-inducing protein obtained by culturing macrophages contained in the intraperitoneal exudate of the mammalian in a culture solution containing the cysteine protease.
