PURPOSE: To obtain a polyphenylene sulfide giving a powder coated material having smooth surface without cracking and comfortably usable for a chemical solution piping, hot water piping, a valve and a stirring wing tank, etc., required for heat resistance and corrosion resistance. CONSTITUTION: This polyphenylene sulfide for powder coating is composed of a linear polyphenylene sulfide powder having 150-500Pa.s melt viscosity at 310 deg.C and 1200/sec shearing rate and >=80mass% granule degree of <=177μm, and is used in blowing methods and flow dipping methods. When preparing a coating material, the powder is baked and slowly cooled at an average cooling rate below 5 deg.C/min in a cooling stage from crystallization temperature to glass transition temperature of the polyphenylene sulfide as a resin. |
