PURPOSE: To obtain an interval converter for high-quality digital audio signals by executing processing which lessens the deterioration by the tremolo modulation generated by thinning of waveforms at the time of interval conversion and cross-fade processing at insertion points. CONSTITUTION: Signals P obtd. by subjecting signals of right and left channels to multiplication processing are formed in a signal forming means 106 for peak detection. The max. values of the same codes are detected one by one from the prescribed two sections on the signals P in a peak position detecting means 110. The positions where the max. values exist are determined as the peak positions in the prescribed two sections of the signals P. The positions on the right and left channels corresponding to the detected peak positions are determined as the peak positions common to the right and left channels. The detected two peak positions are joined and cross-fade connection is executed respectively in the right and left channels by cross-fade processing means 102, 104. |
