<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the mishit increase of cache by preliminarily storing the information required for a packet generation in a local memory and generating plural remote memory access packets based on this information. CONSTITUTION: This controller is provided with an information pointer designation register 104 for packet generation storing the part or all the information for packet generation for generating the packets accessing to a remote memory by the part corresponding to desired number of packet in the local memory 3 at the outside of a remote memory access controller 1 and at hand, based on a prescribed format, and designating the address of information for packet generation at the inside of the remote memory access controller 1, and a packet number designation register 105 designating the number of packets to be generated. By the one time instruction from an external processor 2, a desired number of remote memory access packets are generated. A series of operations for the packet generation are repeated till the value of the packet number designation register becomes 0.</p> |
