PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for easily measuring loft by providing a putter with a means for detecting an impact point on a trial hitting curved surface, and a hitting pack which has cylinderic or conic shape with a curved surface and of which axis is perpendicular to horizontal plane. SOLUTION: A unit 17 which is temporary fit with a putter for measurement consists of the body part 18 which has a stickable back 18a to the putter face 11a with glue and the like. The trail hitting surface is formed by pasting an impact tape 21 having a horizontal center line M on the curved surface 19 defined by a radius swung through the vertical plane. The stationary tubular hitting pack 23 touches with the putter 10 stuck with the face plate unit 17 then a golfer normally swings it. The ranging conic side surface 23s of the pack is at equal distance from the vertical axis VA. As the golfer swings, the tape 21 collides with the side surface 23s on the point D down below the center line M which regulates the center of the curved surface 19.
