PURPOSE: To extremely improve the loard of a color separation job. CONSTITUTION: The color separation processing is carried out in a main plate setting process 10 where the color of an initial state is designated in every type of component graphic elements of the design data and the color attribute designation data are generated, an area color designation process 11 where the color attribute is designated for the graphic element included in a designated area and the color attribute designation data are generated, and an individual color designation process 12 where the color attribute is designated for a designated graphic element and the color attribute designation data are generated. Then such color separation processing is applied in a business form design system.
