PURPOSE: To provide a roller in which the adhesive durability of a thin fluororesin sleeve to an inner elastic layer is excellent and which is covered with the sleeve having no crease. CONSTITUTION: A roller 1 covers with a fluororesin sleeve 4 having a thickness of 0.1mm or less on the outer periphery of an elastic layer 4 covering the outer periphery of a mandrel 2. The inner surface of the sleeve 4 is etched by an excimer laser.
