PURPOSE: To maintain the safety travel of an electric vehicle without abrupt acceleration due to a torque difference applied temporarily to the electric vehicle by applying a torque command to the motor of the electric vehicle by a spare system after the electric vehicle starts coasting or stops. CONSTITUTION: A PWM signal is produced in a motor control part 7 by a torque command signal from a main control part 5 and outputted to an inverter part 11 through a switch 9, and a.c. power is generated in the inverter part 11 and supplied to a motor 13. On the other hand, when a failure state is detected in the PWM signal in a failure detecting part 17 and it is detected that a torque command to the motor 13 is '0' in a stop state detecting part 17, it is switched over to a spare PWM signal generated in a limp home control part 19 by the switch 9, and the spare PWM signal is outputted to the inverter part 11, and a.c. power is generated in the inverter part 11 and supplied to the motor 13. |
