PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing unit with a small diameter for a rotational circle of a rolling member supporting a wheel and disturbing no bearing function by torque transmission. SOLUTION: In this wheel bearing unit 9, a drivable wheel is supported on a wheel carrier 10 rotationally around a rotation axial line 15. The wheel bearing is provided with a double row conical seat ball bearing having an outside bearing ring 20 mounted on the wheel carrier 10 and provided with a central bearing face 24. Inner tracks 16, 17 are formed inside an outside face 19 of an outside joint member 11 supporting a flange 12. An outside ball traveling groove 30 is formed in the outside joint member 11 and arranged opposedly to an inside traveling groove 35 of an inside joint member 34, and the outside ball traveling groove 30 cooperates with a retainer 36 so as to guide a ball 37 for transmitting torque. The inside joint member 34 can be turned around a joint center 42 with respect to the outside joint member 11. |
