PURPOSE: To obtain a resin-coated steel pipe which is capable of displaying an adequate corrosion inhibitive effect under whichever installation conditions, indoor, outdoor or underground and is highly flame-retardant, weather-proof and insulative. CONSTITUTION: A steel pipe is coated by a resin composition consisting, of 100 pts.wt. of a resin component which comprises 10 to 100wt.% of polyphenylene ether resin, and 90 to 0wt.% of styrene polymer, and 50 pts.wt. or less of styrene block copolymer rubber, and 40 pts.wt. or less of flame retardant 40. The resin component can be modified using unsaturated carboxylic acid. |
