PURPOSE: To provide a piezoelectric resonance component which is suitably used in a frequency area of 1MHz and higher, is provided with a structure that can effectively improve energy confining efficiency and uses a new vibration mode. CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric resonator 43 is fixed through a space S for not preventing the vibration of vibrating parts on a substrate 42. A metallic cap 44 is fixed on the substrate and the parts are made into chip forms. A piezoelectric vibration part containing grooves 47a and 47b has a rectangular plate form. When the length of a short side in a rectangular surface is set to be (a), the length of a long side to be (b) and the Poisson's ratio of a material constituting the piezoelectric vibration part to beσ, the ratio b/a is set to be within the range of (n) (0.3σ+1.48), and the vibration of a 2n-order ((n) is an integer) bending mode using piezoelectric lateral effect by the ratio is excited.
