PURPOSE: To obtain a nutritional supplementary food for dog, capable of strengthening dog teeth and gingiva by well chewing gum which has not been much chewed hitherto and not destroying nutritional balance for dog. CONSTITUTION: This nutritional supplementary food 11 for dog is composed of a gum body 12 consisting essentially of a cow leather and a palatability promoting layer 13 consisting essentially of mince body or paste body of beef, chicken or mutton attached as a thin layer to the surface of the gum body 12. Palatability of dog is enhanced by the palatability-promoting layer 13 and the weight ratio of the palatability-promoting layer 13 to the gum body 12 is controlled to one-several tenth so as to extremely suppress taking-in amount of meats of the palatability-promoting layer 13. |
