PURPOSE: To easily arrange a gas injection member by providing the gas injection member communicating with the gas passage in a mold to inject gas into a cavity to the mold at a position where a thick-walled part is formed without allowing the leading end part thereof to protrude into the cavity of the mold. CONSTITUTION: A gas injection member 3 is provided to the surface of a mold cavity at the position corresponding to the hollow part forming place of a molded object. At this time, the leading end part of the gas injection member 3 is positioned on the same plane as the surface of the mold cavity. Next, a skin material 11 is supplied to the gap between a pair of female and male molds 1, 2 and, thereafter, a molten thermoplastic resin 12 is supplied to the opened mold cavity from the molten resin passage 10 provided in one mold 2. The female mold 1 is allowed to fall almost simultaneously with the completion of the supply of the resin to start mold clamping. In parallel to the supply of the molten resin, compressed air is supplied into the mold cavity from the leading end part of the gas injection member 3 through a gas passage 4 to obtain a hollow molded object wherein a hollow part 8 is formed only to a thick-walled part 7. |
