PURPOSE: To obtain a hemoglobin-containing liposome high in capsulation efficiency and in liposome agglutination-inhibiting ability, preventing the increase in the by-production of mesohemoglobin in an inner aqueous phase, and useful as an artificial erythrocyte. CONSTITUTION: A hemoglobin-containing liposome contains the hemoglobin in an inner aqueous phase. Therein, the improvements comprise containing 1-30mol.% of a fatty acid salt in the composing lipid component of the liposome membrane, having a hemoglobin/liposome membrane-composing lipid weight ratio of 0.5-2.5, and having a particle diameter of 100-300nm. |
