PURPOSE: To improve the operability of KANA(Japanese syllabary) character input employing a Roman character conversion system and improve operation efficiency by knowing a Roman character conversion rule that a user recognizes as misconversion on the analogy of English characters and KANA characters that are currently inputted. CONSTITUTION: A user informs a central processor 1 that conversion from English characters to Roman characters is not as intended on the way in KANA character input employing the Roman character conversion system through a keyboard 3, a mouse 4, etc. The central processor 1 knows the Roman character conversion rule to be changed on the analogy of the currently inputted characters, and sets the reasoned Roman character conversion rule as the default value of processing at the time of Roman character conversion. When a user changes the Roman character conversion rule, the new set Roman character conversion rule is applied and reconversion is performed. Then the changed Roman character conversion rule is so set that the rule is applied for subsequent Roman character conversion. |
