PURPOSE: To retrieve and manage a document which is created by a document preparing application without depending upon the document preparing application. CONSTITUTION: Documents 31 and 32 which are created by the application program for document preparation are kept as application document data 28 depending upon the application program for document preparation and also held as standardized document data 26 which do not depend upon the document preparing application program, and the documents are outputted with the standardized document data 26 without using the document preparing application program. Then attribute information on the documents for document processing is kept as attribute data 27 which do not depend upon the document preparing application program independently while related with the application document data 28 and standardized document data 26. |
