PURPOSE: To comprehensively monitor each constituent equipment of a mounting line by making an efficient use of the communication capacity. CONSTITUTION: A mounting line 1 is so structured that a plurality of mounting machines 2-4 are located in series and components are mounted while a printed board is carried through these mounting machines 2-4. A comprehensive controller 10 which comprehensively monitors the mounting machines 2-4 of the mounting line 1 is installed and information on the operation conditions of the mounting machines 2-4 is sent to it. The information on the operation conditions of the mounting machines 2-4 is divided into urgent information and the other one. The urgent information is sent to the comprehensive controller 10 when the information appears and the other information is stored in controllers 2a-4a of the mounting machines 2-4 for the time being and then is sent out to the comprehensive controller 10 when the mounting machines 2-4 are not in operation or based on a specified read-out command. |
