PURPOSE: To obtain a water-base ballpoint ink compsn. which hardly dries at a pen point and gives written lines hardly blurring by compounding a colorant, water, a water-sol. polymer, and a sugar alcohol. CONSTITUTION: This water-base ink compsn. having a viscosity of 50-2,000cP is prepd. by mixing and stirring at least essential components comprising a colorant (a dye or a pigment), water, a compd. represented by the formula (wherein R1 is H or methyl; R2 is 10-30C alkyl; M is H, Na, Li, an amine, or ammonium; and m and n are each the content of the corresponding group, m being 40-98wt.% and n being 2-60wt.%) and/or its salt, and a sugar alcohol and optional components comprising various water-sol. org. solvents, a polymeric dispersant, and other additives. |
