PURPOSE: To surely maintain an armature in a stopping state even when the efficiency of a worm mechanism becomes higher by providing friction plates which are slid on the outsides of the recessed sections of an armature shaft between the end section of the armature shaft and a case. CONSTITUTION: A worm gear 7a7 which is housed in a motor case 2 and formed by notching the armature shaft 7a of an armature 7 is meshed with a worm wheel 17 and opens/closes window glass through a glass elevating/lowering mechanism. Even when the window glass is forcibly opened when the window glass is completely closed and the armature 7 is stopped, the armature shaft 7a is not rotated by the rotational force from the wheel 17 side, because the shaft 7a is maintained in the stopping state by a preset frictional force between the surface 7a2 of the armature shaft 7a on which a first friction plate 9 is slid and the first friction plate 9 on one side and another preset frictional force between the surface 7a5 of the shaft 7a on which a second friction plate 10 is slid and the friction plate 10 on the other end side.
