摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an electrostatic graphic imaging member without the need of a curl preventing base material layer. SOLUTION: There is provided a flexible electrostatic graphic imaging belt 10 having a substrate layer, a charge generation layer, a charge moving layer and two longitudinal edges, and having a charge moving layer tensile strain about 0.05% or less in the cross direction, and the imaging belt 10 is fitted to support rollers 114,116, and a belt steering tension applying roller 118 which is substantially parallel to the support rollers and separated from the support rollers to guide the belt 10. Further, a belt guide roller 118 is periodically tilted to the support rollers 114, 116 to keep the belt 10 on the support rollers 114, 116. This image formation method is such that an electrostatic latent image is formed on the belt 10, the electrostatic latent image is developed with toner to form a toner image corresponding to the latent image, the toner image is transferred to a receiving member, and the forming, developing and transferring steps are repeated at least one time.
