THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To obtain an ABS-based polymer composition having low-temperature impact strength higher than that of a polymer prepared by emulsion polymerization, consequently capable of providing a thermoplastic resin having excellent moldability and processability without deteriorating polycarbonate. CONSTITUTION: This thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by blending (I) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polycarbonate with (II) 10-900 pts.wt. of an ABS-based polymer containing 8-23wt.% of an acrylonitrile component in a polymer component (A) from which a component insoluble in a mixed solvent of methyl ethyl ketone and methanol of 7:3 is removed, having 0.2-0.5dl/g reduced viscosity (ηsp/c) of the polymer component A and containing 5-30 pts.wt. of a rubber-like polymer component.
