PURPOSE: To obtain a lamp unit of a vehicle which can improve unnatural view caused by over brightness of the bulb in its turned on state, hardly damaging the feeling of transparency and uniformity in a beam dispersion. CONSTITUTION: A lamp unit comprises a plurality of semicylindrical prisms 16 which extend vertically side by side are formed on the inner surface of a housing 10 on which a bulb 14 is mounted and supported, and a plurality of the semicylindrical prisms 19 which extend horizontally side by side are formed on the inner surface of a front lens 11 having a horizontal wide stretch and mounted at the front of the housing 10. As for the front view of the front lens 11, the pitches (Pi') of the horizontal semicylindrical prisms 19, which transvers in the central portion 17 generally corresponding to a front projection of a bulb 14, are made smaller and more dense than the pitches (Pm') of the horizontal ones 19 of the other portion. |
