PURPOSE: To provide a wide band antenna small in size, superior in portability and capable of receiving a wide band wide one antenna. CONSTITUTION: The wide band antenna 1 is provided with an antenna element 3 which is electrically connected by a supporting body 2 and three radials 4-6. Concretely, the antenna element 3 is constituted of a base tube 31 fixed to the connection part 21 of the supporting body 2 and seven conductive tubes 32-38 which are connected to the base tube 31 so that they can freely be taken in/out. On the other hand, the respective radials 4, 5 and 6 are constituted of base tubes 41, 51 and 61 connected to connection parts 22, 23 and 24 through a hinge 25, and six conductive tubes 42-47, 52-57 and 62-67 connected to the base tubes 41, 51 and 61 so that they can freely be taken in/out.
