PURPOSE: To provide an optical fiber connector capable of stably maintaining the connection loss of butt-connected optical fibers and improving the workability of connection of these optical fibers. CONSTITUTION: This optical fiber connector has an optical juncture 5 for butt- connecting the optical fibers 4 against each other and an extra length housing section 7 for housing the connected extra lengths 6 of the optical fibers connected in the optical juncture 5 within a main body container 2. The juncture 5 is provided with positioning means 13 for butt connectably position the butt ends 4a of a pair of the fibers 4 against each other and fixing means 9a, 9b which fix the butt ends 4a positioned by the means 13 to each other. The section 7 is provided with a radius maintaining part 3a which is projectingly disposed on the inside surface of the main body case 2 and with which the curving radius of the fiber 4 is maintained above the normal and an anchor 18 for anchoring the fibers 4 to the container 2. |
