PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV absorbing dye in association with both stabilities in the UV absorption of an allowable level and to UV concentration loss by exposure, and to provide a single sheet method without necessity of individual receiving element. SOLUTION: The laser recording element comprises a dye layer containing an image dye dispersed in a polymer binder and a support having the layer thereon. In this case, the dye layer is combined with an infrared absorbing substance, and the image dye is a 2-hydroxybenzophenon UV absorbing dye. The method for forming a single sheet type dye image using the recording element is provided. |
