PURPOSE: To project a laser beam so as to form either of a vertical plane and a horizontal plane, and enhance correcting accuracy by respectively setting focal distances of a secondary light source optical member and a third optical member according to a refractive index of liquid. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam L from a laser diode 1 becomes a parallel beam of light by a collimator lens 2, and is made incident on a transparent vessel 3, and is reflected at a right angle by a rectangular prism 6. In this case, a laser beam L1 passing through a liquid level of silicone oil C inclines by an angleθ2, and is made incident on a projecting lens 4. The laser beam L1 from the lens 4 is made incident on a collimator lens 5, and becomes a parallel beam of light having an angleθ3, and is emitted in the vertical direction. When a refractive index of the oil C is determined, respective focal distances f2 and f3 of the lens 4 and the lens 5 can be set. A laser beam L2 emitted in the vertical direction is reflected at a right angle by a pentamirror 9, and is projected in rotation in the 360 deg. direction as the laser beam L2 to form a horizontal plane.
