PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of miscopying or a device error owing to misoperation in electronic sorting. CONSTITUTION: When electronic sorting is set up from an input device 4 on an operation panel 3, a CPU 1 detects whether an original exists on an automatic original feeder or not based upon a detection signal outputted from an original detecting sensor 29, and when an original exists, starts electronic sorting by an original feeding menu applied from the automatic original feeder. When there is no original on the feeder, electronic sorting is started by a menu for manually setting up an original on an original platen and the picture of an original read out by an original scanning part is stored inn a page memory 5. Thus an image stored in the memory 5 is formed by an image forming part corresponding to the setting of electronic sorting. |
