The invention relates to an extension piece (3; 4; 8) for a slide track (1) equipped with a slide groove (6). According to prior art, the ends of the slide tracks are interconnected at the angle point or a T-branch point by sheer joints. Owing to torsion of the tracks, the sheer joint becomes uneven and asymmetrical, in which case the slide casters of a balcony glass pane or the like cannot move flawlessly. By using an extension piece according to the invention, slide track angle joints, T-branch joints and ordinary extension joints are easily produced. The extension piece has a slide groove (6) and the coupling of the extension piece to the slide track is carried out by means of a connection piece (5) or connection pieces to be pushed into a space or spaces in the extension piece and/or the slide track so that the combined slide groove will form a smooth groove for the slide piece. |
