Protection of respiration and the body from work-place pollutants by portable personal masks and suits connected to a flexible air pipeline and a blower which propels air from a clean environment. The clean air entering creates a mild pressure excess in the interior of the mask or suit and a continuous discharge of air into the environment from suitable escape points. In this way the mask and the suit are adequately ventilated by clean air and air and pollutants from the work place cannot enter them. A personal system of this type may also be used for personal air-conditioning in open areas. |
