An apparatus is described for heating plastic plates (1) by means of contact heat and hot gasses, which are brought to the plastic plate (1) to be heated via supporting plates (2, 2'). In this case, two supporting plates (2, 2') can be moved in relation to each other perpendicularly to their common contact surface (3).
