The thermostat housing used for cooling the automobile engine is made of plastic, improves the fluidity of the cooling water, and makes a sensor easily fixed. The housing(1) comprises: an O-ring(10) formed on the edge of a cooling water intake(5) of a fixture(6); long shaped holes(12) formed on both sides of a circumferential step(11) around a sensor hole(8); a diamond shaped clip(13) inserted into the long shaped holes(12); a recess(15) formed on the rear part of a sensing part(14); a heater pipe(9) connected to the housing(1).
