PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency and to reduce the power consumption of a sewing machine during its operation by so selecting the diameter of a pulley as to always control the speed of the machine at the time of operating the rated speed of the machine. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of a pulley is so selected as to have a relation of NL<NS.PM/PL, where PM represents the diameter of the pulley of an output shaft pulley 11 of a clutch motor 1, PL represents the diameter of the pulley of a shaft pulley 21 of a sewing machine 2, NS represents the maximum rotating speed of the output shaft of the motor 1, and NL represents the rated rotating speed of the machine 2, and is then set at the rated rotating speed of the sewing machine by the speed controller 7 of the motor 1. Thus, the output of the clutch motor can be transmitted to the sewing machine without waste, and the rotation of the machine can be raised to the rated rotating speed abruptly at the time of depressing the pedal of the machine. |
