The working surface, e.g. for placing on a desk top, consists of at least one layer of a supple base material (2) which has one surface (3) at least partially coated with an adhesive material (4) and the other (5) with a layer of textured varnish (6), applied e.g. by a silk screen process. In variants of the design the working surface can have a printed layer between the base material and the varnish, with or without a protective layer over the printed layer. The base material is of vinyl or polyester, and the protective layer is of polyester or polycarbonate. |
