The distributor casing has a top wall (3) with a central slot (4) extending across its full width, through which the topmost one (10) of a pile (5) of sheets may be removed. The bottom wall (1) of the casing supports a rigid base block (7), on top of which is positioned a layer of foam (6). A second rigid block (8) is located below the top wall of the casing, on top of the pile of sheets, with a transverse slot (9) corresponding to the slot in the top wall. The base and upper rigid blocks may be formed of expanded polystyrene, and the walls of the casing may be formed of cardboard.
