The flat plate is circular and is made from flexible plastic material. It has notches (14,16) round its edge which extend radially towards the centre. One notch (16) is larger than the others and is used to hold another plate which is used to throw it. The larger notch is irregular in shape and has two straight perpendicular edges (16,20) and its other shape (18) is V-shaped and convex. The smaller notches (14) are U-shaped and used to join the plates together. The plates can be square, hexagonal, octagonal or irregular.
