PURPOSE: To provide an identification device capable of discriminating a staff card without changing a software for discriminating the staff card even when the format of information recorded in the staff card is different. CONSTITUTION: In a magnetic stripe 60 where the information of the staff card is recorded, the information on a staff number A61, a company number 62 and a valid period 63 is recorded. The magnetic stripe 64 of the other, staff card is different from the magnetic stripe 60 only in a point that the staff number A61 is replaced by the staff number B65. This identification device uses the information of the staff number A61, the company number 62 and the valid period 63 as the identifier of the staff card in the magnetic stripe 60. Thus, since the staff number A61 and the staff number B65 are different from each other between the magnetic stripe 60 and the magnetic stripe 61, both cards are discriminated. |
