PURPOSE: To allow a liquid crystal panel with built-in scanning circuit to serve as non-interlace driving and interlace driving. CONSTITUTION: This display device is provided with pixel LC disposed in a matrix, a vertical scanning circuit 1 and a horizontal scanning circuit 2. The vertical scanning circuit 1 outputs each select pulse and scans the pixel LC for each line successively during one vertical period. The horizontal scanning circuit 2 writes video signals and transfers them to the pixel lines selected by sequential scanning during one horizontal period. The vertical scanning circuit 1 is provided with a switching means 5 for controlling the switching of sequential output of a select pulse and adjusting the numbers of pixel lines selected for each horizontal period according to the standard of video signal. |
