PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more accurate channel evaluation allowing for elimination of multi-access interference and a receiver executing this method with respect to a receiver of a cellular radio system. SOLUTION: The receiver of the cellular radio system provided with a means which eliminates multi-access interference from a reception signal is provided with a means 23 which calculates channel evaluation in accordance with the signal subjected to elimination of multi-access interference for the purpose of obtaining satisfactory channel evaluation.
