PURPOSE: To smoothly release a negative pressure in a case, and reliably close the release hole. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator whose door 2 is closed with a control rod 3 in the vertical direction. A communicating hole 8 for releasing a negative pressure on the door 2 is opened or closed with a handle 6 of the control rod 3. A breathing valve 10 for the opening/closing consists of a valve body 11, a packing 12, a spring 13 and front and rear attaching plates 14, 15. When a handle 6a is removed from a hook of the door 2 and turned forward, a contact between the handle 6a and valve body 11 is released, and the valve body 11 is moved by the spring 13, and the communicating hole 8 is opened. By this opening, a negative pressure in the case is released, and the door 2 can be smoothly opened. When the door 2 is closed from this door open state, the control rod 3 for door fastening is operated, and the handle 6 is engaged with the hook, the handle 6a comes into contact with the valve body 11, and the valve body 11 is pressed to the communicating hole 8, and the communicating hole 8 is closed. |
