PURPOSE: To provide a voice encoding device capable of obtained the reproduced voice of high quality with the low bit rate of the degree of 4kb/s. CONSTITUTION: A pitch cycle dividing circuit 28 inputs pitch cycles (d) from an input terminal 21, adaptive code vectors Ad(n) from an input terminal 22 and sound source code vectors Cj(n) from an input terminal 23 and divides adaptive code vectors and sound source code vectors even pitch cycle. A search control circuit 29 controls the searching of a gain code vector and inputs the pitch cycles (d) from the input terminal 21, gain vectors from an input terminal 24 and outputs an exciting signal from an output terminal 26 by using the adaptive code vector and the sound source code vector divided in the pitch cycle dividing circuit 28 and the gain code vectors and inputs the error signal with respect to the exciting signal from an input terminal 25 and selects the gain code vector so as to minimize the power in the subframe of the error signal. Then, the circuit 29 outputs an index indicating the gain code vector to an output terminal 27. |
