In the control circuit of the heater element can be incorporated an electric temperature sensor. Together with the heating element the latter is inserted in a metal sleeve with electric insulation, which is compacted by the sleeve reduction. The temperature sensor (4) is in the form of a resistance coil etc., inserted into a rigid insulating sleeve (5). The latter is held in alignment in the metal sleeve (2) by a socket (6) of insulating material. The socket material is of hiqh thermo resistance, soft elastic and compensating the volume reduction during the metal sleeve size reduction, without subjecting the insulating sleeve to any shape changes. The insulating sleeve is pref. of hard ceramics. The soft elastic insulator may be of felt, typically an yttrium stabilised zirconium fibre felt. The heating element and the sensor may be spaced in tandem in the longitudinal direction of the radiator casing (1).
