Hot bulk material, partic. cement clinker, ore material etc., is cooled in a twin-layer cooler with a cooling face (1) comprising a static air introduction base (1) extending between the ends of the cooler. The cooler has an initial material supply zone (3) on which a top layer (4a) of hot material, and a lower layer of already cooled material is charged. At least one chain conveyor (2) is provided for transporting the material to the end of the cooler, where there is a sepg. device (5), allowing the lower material to be sepd. and removed as finished prod.. The upper layer is returned as circulating material to the cooler start. The second material supply zone (8) allows the material to be deposited as lower layer. |
