The target consist of two parts, plane part (1) on which are marked radial lines, which can be made from glass, metal or a transparent plastic material, and spherical casing (2) whose interior surface possesses a reflecting power for the wave received from the distance meter, which can be made from the same material as the first part if the target is made by moulding. The centre of the casing (2) is at the point of convergence of the radial lines on the plane part (1). A hole (3) is drilled at the point of convergence (C) of the radial lines so that the target can be fixed at the point to be measured.
