The temperature indicator is a substrate having several adjacent distinct zones (I to VIII), each carrying a thermosensitive material (A). This reacts to a small temperature range, differing for each zone. Another thermosensitive layer (B), over the first, reacts to different zoned temperatures. The intersection of the first and second scales being null, in each zone. A third thermosensitive layer (C) may be placed over the second, reacting similarly. The adjacent zones may have a common overlap in some layers, smaller than each zone range. The successive layers (A,B,C) may be covered by a transparent layer. The substrate has a black surface. The temperature reactions may produce red to violet colours, with black showing when non- activated. |
