PURPOSE: To provide the television receiver with which a picture mode before the execution of channel search can be automatically recovered after the execution of search. CONSTITUTION: A signal for selecting a route from a multipicture generating part 8 to a display part 11 in order to switch a one-picture mode to a search picture is supplied to second and third switching parts SW2 and SW3. Tuning is performed by a multipicture image from the multipicture generating part 8. Respective switching parts SW1, SW2 and SW3 before the tuning and the operation contents of respective parts are stored in a memory and a control signal to be the operation contents before tuning is supplied to the respective parts. Besides, tuning is performed by supplying a tuning signal to a second tuning part 2, the first switching part SW1 is dropped to the side of S2 and the third switching part SW3 is dropped to the side of S5. The tuned image is displayed in the picture mode before the tuning. Even in a double-picture mode, the image is similarly displayed after tuning in the picture mode before tuning. |
