PURPOSE: To provide an inventory management system capable of handling JIT items even though it is an MRP system, predicting the inventory of the JIT items, verifying the acceptability of a 'tag number' and an 'order amount', shortening an updating cycle by shortening the updating time of inventory reference values (the 'tag number' and the 'order amount') and performing supply activity for following up the change of a market. CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with inventory reference information 11 for determining order systems for respective inventory items and a required amount calculation part 12 for gathering necessity for the respective items and calculating the order amount. In the required amount calculation part, required amount calculation is performed for the item whose order system of the inventory reference information is stipulated as just-in-time, an inventory amount and the schedule value of the order amount are calculated and a reference information change instruction slip 13 is issued in the case of the shortage of the items or excessive inventory. |
