PURPOSE: To shorten medicine preparation waiting time in a pharmacy and to save the handling time of inputting prescription contents for accounting by connecting a prescription transmitter provided with a means for inputting a prescription received from medical facilities and transmitting the prescription to the pharmacy and a computer for medicine preparation insurance billing installed in the pharmacy and directly inputting prescription information from the prescription transmitter to the computer for the medicine preparation insurance billing. CONSTITUTION: Prescription code information is extracted from the image information of the inputted prescription in the prescription read part 4 of the prescription transmitter 1 and the prescription image information and the prescription code information are sent to the computer 2 for the pharmacy by using a modem 12. The computer 2 for the pharmacy outputs a temporary prescription from a printer 25 based on the prescription code information and medicine is prepared. Further, the prescription image information and accounting information are stored in a disk 22. When a patient comes to the pharmacy, the prescription image information is displayed on a display 13, it is confirmed that it is the same as the original prescription and then, the medicine is delivered and a medicine charge is billed based on the accounting information. |
