Flexible petroleum product container for oil tankers

The container comprises a fibre reinforced rubber or elastomer casing (1). This casing is fixed to the boat deck by a removable metal plate (2) onto which it is sealed and suspended inside a soft water tank. The plate is equipped with an emptying and filling pipe (6) and an air socket (7). Whilst the container is submerged the soft water cancels the internal pressure exerted on the wall by its petroleum contents is cancelled by the water pressure. The external water is maintained at a level corresponding to the container height. The container contents during emptying are replaced by the addition of this water.
